New Fellowship Hall Ceiling Planned

The Consistory has given the Property Committee approval to install a new acoustical ceiling with additional lighting in the Fellowship Hall.
The plan is to lower the present ceiling to 16’ using acoustical tile matching the Narthex ceiling. New lighting similar to the Narthex and Commons will also be installed. The projection screen will be lowered.
The purpose is to decrease the noise level, the echo and feedback in this area. The lower, brighter lighting will aid group studies. Reduced heating and cooling costs is a bonus.
The Property Committee has checked into side acoustical panels and concluded the cost is more and the results less effective. The Committee is in the process of getting a second opinion, and welcomes questions and comments from the congregation. Consistory property members are Jason Fick, Randy Sasker, and Grant Binford.
