A special offering will be received Sunday, October 4, to support the community Kids Against Hunger Food Packing Event coming this fall.

If anyone is interested in working at the Operation Christmas Child Distribution Center in Minneapolis this fall, contact Karen Bosch.  Christmas shoe boxes will be available October 11 and will be dedicated on November 15.  A special offering will also be received on that day to help with additional shipping costs.

You are invited to join or re-join this fun and worshipful group of singers. Practice is on Wednesday nights from 8-9 PM (beginning October 7) and the choir sings in church a couple of times each month during the school year, including occasional special programs. High School students are encouraged to join. Talk to Cory Grimm for more information.

COMPUTER HELP  A volunteer is needed to help with PowerPoint set-up for our worship services. It is a once a month commitment and usually takes only 1-2 hours. If you are interested or have questions, contact Charla Sandbulte at 507-227-1722. Training provided!

MIDWEEK MEALS  A volunteer is needed to assist with clean-up responsibilities in the kitchen on Wednesdays following Midweek Meals from approximately 6-7 PM. If you are willing or have questions, call the church office at 283-8600.

HELPING HANDS  Volunteers are needed on Saturday, September 26 for a shingling project at the home of Arlene Kooistra. If you are willing to help or have questions, contact Randy Sasker 605-261-4050. Meet at church at 9 AM to share rides.

Feed the needy hungry in September with Home Delivered Meals. To volunteer, please choose a date from the calendar at the Narthex table. The meals are picked up at the downtown Luverne Senior Dining at 11:30 AM and local delivery usually takes about an hour.

Mark your calendars for Sunday, September 13 for an All Church Picnic and Kickoff of a new season of education and activities. After worship, Sunday School will begin followed by a potluck dinner at 11:45 AM and games and activities for both kids and adults. Bring a main dish and side dish to share and your own tableware! Lemonade, coffee and water will be provided.

The Allen Family will present a concert and gospel hymn sing on Thursday, September 3, 7 PM at ARC. Freewill offering will be received.

August is ARC  Food Shelf Month!  Bring non perishable food items and paper products to the south entrance or cash donations can be brought to the church office; checks made payable to Rock County Emergency Food Shelf.  Items may also be brought to the Methodist Church 9 AM—2 PM Monday through Friday.
