Advent Challenge

ADVENT CHALLENGE WEEK 1: Please consider inviting a neighbor or someone you don’t know very well to your home to share a meal together.

ADVENT CHALLENGE WEEK 2: Acknowledge the most critical integrity gap in your life and the impact it has had on others; then take steps to clean up the resulting mess.

ADVENT CHALLENGE WEEK 3: When worshiping through song, sing with passion. When worshiping through work, seek to reflect the glory of God. And when you worship through giving, do so with joy in honor of the King!

Christmas Shoeboxes

Each year thousands of shoeboxes are packed by people who cannot afford to add the additional $7 per box shipping fee. Many people say “But I’m not sure what I should pack in the box, so I’ll just leave it for someone else to do” and don’t take a box to pack at all. Here is an opportunity for any size “hands” to help. A freewill offering will be received November 15 on OCC Dedication Sunday. Samaritan’s Purse pays $7 to ship each box around the world, but only receives enough donations with the boxes to cover $5.06/box. Our offering will help defray some of the expense to ship boxes all over the world. You are still encouraged to put your $7 donation in your box as you normally do. This is an additional offering for the people that don’t feel capable of packing a shoebox and a way for the congregation, from the young all the way to the oldest, to be a part of Operation Christmas Child. Thank you for your support in this ministry.
