Care Packages

Help bless local women at the Southwest Crisis Center with a care package.  Suggested items include soaps, lotions, bubble bath, lip balm, other hygiene items, candy, journal/pen, gas card, devotional book, etc.  Package your items in a basket, small tote, or other bag and bring to the church office or place in the tote in the south hallway before June 12.  Individual items may also be donated.

 


Teens Encounter Christ (TEC)

TEC is an inter-denominational organization designed to promote Christianity into the hearts of teens.  All high school teens are invited to attend a three day retreat, June 24-26, at the American Reformed Church in Luverne.  Teens will have an opportunity to know God, grow in their faith, and make many new friendships with people who are wild about Christ!  Registration forms are on the Narthex table or available online at crossroadstec.com.  For more information, contact Randy Sasker at 605-261-4050.

 


Home Delivered Meals

Feed the needy hungry in June with Home Delivered Meals.  To volunteer, please choose a date from the calendar at the Narthex tableThe meals are picked up at the downtown Luverne Senior Dining at 11:30 AM and local delivery usually takes about an hour.

 


Education Appreciation

The ARC Discipleship Team would like to recognize all individuals that were involved with the education program over the past year.  Following the worship service on May 22, everyone is invited to an ice cream social in their honor.

 


Vacation Bible School!

Vacation Bible School will be June 6-10 with the theme Cave Quest—Following Jesus, the Light of the World.  Registration is available at the Narthex table for kids age 3 (before 9-1-2015) through Grade 5.  Print Registration Form here.

Sign up at the Narthex table to donate teacher/helper snacks and children’s snack items.  VBS is also in need of copious amounts of cornstarch and shoeboxes.  If you have the following items that could be borrowed, contact Becky Ossefoort: battery operated lanterns and flashlights, vaporizer, hammers, spray bottles.

 


Men’s Prayer Breakfast

The 4th annual Community Men’s Prayer Breakfast will be Friday, June 3, 6:30 AM at the Blue Mound Banquet Center.  Cost is $10.  Speaker this year is Cory Grimm.

 


Worship Band Camp

WORSHIP BAND CAMP  A free event for students entering Grades 6-12, will be Monday through Thursday, May 23-26, 1-4 PM at ARC.  Thursday’s camp will be from 1-7 PM with a Worship on the Sidewalk event for parents and community members to attend.  Register by May 16 at the church office.  If you have any questions, email Cory Grimm at cory@arcluverne.org.  If you play a horn, saxophone, guitar, violin, or cello, please bring your own instrument.  Camp will provide the keyboard and drums.  There will also be future opportunities to continue practicing and performing at local events.  Praise band leaders are welcome to attend with students.

 


Renaissance Group (May)

RENAISSANCE GROUP (55+)  will meet on Tuesday, May 17, 1:30 PM in the Commons to watch the interview of Bernie Sandbulte that was recorded in conjunction with the Ken Burns documentary, “The War”.  Sign up at the Narthex table.

 


Ceramic Cleaning

Mark your calendar for May 11 to help clean ceramics for Vacation Bible School at 7:00 PM in the Commons.  Cleaning involves scraping excess plaster from Nativity figures to ready them for painting by the children.  No experience needed and scraping tools will be provided.
