SPECIAL OFFERING FOR HURRICANE RELIEF  A special offering will be received on Sunday, September 17 to support RCA Global Mission and World Renew Disaster Response Services in the recovery and rebuilding efforts following Hurricane Harvey.

ATTENTION ARC MEN!  This fall we will begin a men’s only Sunday School Bible Study using the same material as the Friday morning Men’s Community Bible Study.  As Christian men we are called to be the spiritual leaders of our homes and that begins with being disciplined readers of the Bible.  This study will help all men gain experience in doing just that in a non-threatening environment.  So men, please consider attending this 10 week study on the book of James.  Materials will be furnished for you.  We invite you to a short informational meeting in the Multipurpose Room after the worship service on Sunday, September 10 with the class beginning September 17.  If you have any questions, talk to Ken Hup.

RENAISSANCE GROUP (55+)  will meet in the Commons on Tuesday, August 22, 1:30 PM to hear about Jim Juhl & Brenda Winter’s trip to Israel.  All are welcome to attend, regardless of age.  Sign up at the Narthex table.

FALL KICKOFF AND PICNIC  Mark your calendars for Sunday, September 10 for an All Church Picnic and Kickoff of a new season of education and activities.  After worship, Sunday School will begin followed by a potluck dinner at 11:45 AM and games and activities for both kids and adults.  Bring a main dish and side dish to share and your own tableware!  Lemonade, coffee and water will be provided.

The Salad Luncheon fundraiser for Talking Bibles International will be Thursday, August 10, 11 AM—1 PM in the Fellowship Hall.  Adults – $6; Children under 12 – $3.  Sign up at the Narthex table to bring a salad or to help at this event.

OPEN HOUSE BRIDAL SHOWER  for Natalie Leuthold, fiancée of Jacob Cuperus, will be Thursday, August 17, 7:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall.  All ladies are invited to attend.

OPEN HOUSE BRIDAL SHOWER  for Nicole Kerkhoff, fiancée of Derek Boeve, will be Saturday,      August 26, 10 AM in the Fellowship Hall.  All ladies are invited to attend.

A Tip Night to benefit Cornerstone Prison Church will be Monday, August 28,   5-8 PM at the Luverne Pizza Ranch.  We are in need of about 8 people to help with this fundraiser; sign up at the Narthex table if you are willing.  Cornerstone is a church inside the walls of the South Dakota State Penitentiary that seeks to share the changing love of God through Jesus Christ.

A send-off for the Rocky Mountain High Participants will be Friday, July 21 at 7:30 PM; everyone is welcome.  Sign up at the Narthex table to be a Prayer Partner for one of the individuals attending.  If you would like to donate bottled water, snack mix in individual baggies, and individually wrapped bars for their trip, please bring to the church kitchen by Wednesday, July 19.
