Youth Director Position

In order to strengthen our Youth Ministry, American Reformed Church is seeking to hire a half-time Youth Director. The Youth Director will focus on our discipleship process and strategies for Grades 9-12 including Sunday School, midweek, retreats, youth group and outreach opportunities.

The position could possibly become full-time depending on the applicant’s gifts and experience in other areas of ministry such as, adult spiritual formation, worship leadership, or community outreach.

The recruitment process to fill this position will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. Pioneer Club Awards Night

AWARDS NIGHT  Pioneer Club Awards Night will be Wednesday, April 18, 7:30 PM in the Worship Center. Everyone is invited to attend and see what the kids have been learning. Last midweek for this season will be April 25. Parents and kids, remember to bring your bags on Wednesday!

 


VBS Registration Night

VBS REGISTRATION NIGHT  Children age 3 (birth date prior to September 2014) through Grade 5 are encouraged to sign up for Vacation Bible School on Wednesday, April 18, 5:30-6:30 PM in the Commons. We are also in need of many helpers, donations, snacks, etc. Registration and sign up opportunities will be available at the Narthex table following this date. VBS is Monday-Friday, June 11-15, 8:30 AM-Noon and is free to all participants. This year’s theme is Shipwrecked: Rescued by Jesus.

 



ARC 101

YEL Movie Night

YEL MOVIE NIGHT  Wednesday, April 4, YEL (Grades 7-12) will attend Youth Night at the Palace Theater featuring God’s Not Dead 3: A Light in Darkness.  Youth are asked to meet at ARC at 6:30 PM;  transportation will be provided to the theater.  ARC will cover the cost of admission, pop, and popcorn.  Invite a friend!  Youth will return to ARC around 9:15 PM and can be picked up here.

Help at The Banquet

ARC will serve breakfast at The Banquet in Sioux Falls on Monday, March 5.  To prepare the meal, 5-6 volunteers are needed at 5:30 AM (leave at 5) and 20-25 volunteers to serve the meal at 6:30 AM (leave at 6).  Meet at ARC for rides together.  Sign up at the Narthex table.  There is no school in Luverne this day so consider serving as a family.  Volunteers must be 13 years of age or older to work in the kitchen or pour beverages.  Volunteers age 10-12 may wash tables and carry trays for guests.

 


Breakfast Fundraiser

BREAKFAST FUNDRAISER  The SR RCYF Youth Group will host a Breakfast Buffet on Sunday, February 25, serving 11 AM—1 PM in the Commons.  Menu includes pancakes, a variety of toppings, eggs, sausage, milk, juice and a coffee bar.  Freewill offering benefits the RCYF 2018 mission trip to Kansas City and ongoing service projects the youth are involved in.
