June 10-14, 8:30 AM-Noon

Register TODAY! All students Age 3 (born before September 2015) – Grade 5 are encouraged to sign up and attend VBS at no cost. Invite a friend! Grade 6 through adults are welcome to help with many opportunities at VBS. Registration forms, volunteer signups and other information are available on the Narthex table outside the Worship Center. New at VBS this year – join us for lunch! Let us take the summer lunch rush off of your hands for the week. Enjoy a time to relax, refresh, and connect with your kids. See registration form for more details.

VBS Donations: Please take a look at our Donation Sign-up list on the Registration table if you would like to help with the many items needed for a successful week. VBS leaders are hard at work collecting household items for the week of wild adventure as well. A few items needed at this time are: clean 14oz (approx.) vegetable tin cans, small/medium shipping boxes, cupcake candy sprinkles and decorating sugars, and any safari décor you no longer need. All items may be placed in the basket below the Registration Table. Thank you for your donations!

VBS Work Night: All are welcome to join in the fun of preparing for VBS! If you can’t help during the week of VBS due to work obligations, but would like to assist, we would love your help! Monday, May 13 and 20 at 6:30 PM there will be projects available to help the leaders prepare. No creativity needed (but we’ll take it if you have it!) and all supplies are provided.

Looking foROAR’d to a great week at Vacation Bible School!

Home Delivered Meals

HOME DELIVERED MEALS  ARC is responsible for serving Home Delivered Meals during the month of June. To volunteer, please choose a date from the calendar at the Narthex table. The meals are picked up at Luverne Senior Dining at 11:30 AM and local delivery usually takes about an hour.

Need Help?

NEED HELP?  Rock County youth are setting aside June 3-7 to assist individuals and organizations with projects around the county such as painting, cleaning, organizing, yard work, etc. If you have a project that you need help with, contact Wanda Jarchow at 507-283-9664, 507-227-1978 or jarchowent@iw.net. Adult volunteers are also needed to come alongside the youth and assist with the projects.

National Day of Prayer

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER  All are invited to participate in the National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 2, 6-8:30 PM at Grand Prairie Events. There will be a live stream of the event at Washington, DC. As individuals, churches, and spiritual leaders let us humble ourselves and unify in prayer for the next great move of God in America that will catapult the message of the Gospel nationally and internationally.

Living Last Supper

LIVING LAST SUPPER  The cast of disciples from New Life Church in Sioux Center will present the Living Last Supper at ARC on Good Friday, April 19 at 7 PM. Everyone is invited; Communion will be served.

Children’s Offering

CHILDREN’S OFFERING  Our total offering for February was $329 to support the Mongu Evangelical Youth Center. With these funds they will be able to purchase 20 chairs to help furnish the youth center. Our March offering will be for The Banquet Milk Project. The Banquet of Sioux Falls serves approximately 12 gallons of milk at each meal, which is nearly 15,000 gallons per year! Our offerings will help offset this expense so their guests will continue to receive a well-balanced meal. Servers are still needed for March and April. See www.thebanquetsf.org for more information and how to volunteer.

Gods at War Series

GODS AT WAR SERIES  What do you sacrifice for? What makes you mad? What do you worry about? Whose applause do you long for? We’re all wired for worship, but we often end up valuing and honoring the idols of money, sex, food, romance, success and many others that keep us from the intimate relationship with God that we desire. Beginning on March 3 and continuing through Lent we will be using Kyle Idelman’s book, “Gods at War”, as an outline for our sermon series as we prepare for celebrating Jesus’ death and resurrection. If you or your Life Group would like to order resources to follow along, copies of the book, the study guide, and DVD studies are on the table in the Narthex for you to review. Please sign up for your resources today. The videos are also available on Rightnow Media. If you’re not in a Life Group but are interested in joining one for this series, please also sign up.
