CHILDREN’S OFFERING The summer children’s offerings totaled $1,305 and will bless the children’s ministry at City Church, the new RCA church in Sioux Falls. The September children’s offering will bless the elementary classroom teachers from ARC and their students. Throughout the school year, teachers send home Scholastic Book Club fliers in which students can purchase books. Our offering will help the teachers bless children with a book of their own from the book order.
SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR MEXICO The Teunissen family is requesting school supplies to take with them to Mexico on their next mission trip. Folders, notebooks, pencils, crayons, colored pencils, and glue are all needed. They will be making packets to hand out in the Colonia to families that would otherwise not be able to send their kids to school. Place your donations in the box on the Narthex table by September 30.
SALAD LUNCHEON Thursday, September 12, 11 AM—1 PM in the Fellowship Hall. Adults – $7; Children under 12 – $3. Sign up at the Narthex table to bring a salad or to help at this event. Proceeds will benefit Talking Bibles International.

QUILTING UPDATE The Reformed Quilters have put aside their scissors and sewing machines. The last quilts were finished this week. We got our start in 2000 when Justice For All was gifted with 85 quilt tops that needed to be finished. Over the years we made almost 3,700 quilts. The majority were given to Children’s Inn, Union Gospel Mission, Alpha Center, and The Furniture Mission. Almost all the material used came from JFA. About the only thing that was purchased was the batting. Our main desire is that the people who received them enjoyed them as much as we enjoyed making them. Thanks to all of you who gave of your time and talents to help with this project over the years.
CELEBRATION SUNDAY Join us to kick off a new season of education and activities on Sunday, September 15. After worship, Sunday School will begin followed by a potluck dinner at 11:30 AM, with games for both kids and adults at noon. Bring a main dish and side dish to share! Tableware, lemonade, coffee and water will be provided.
