THANKSGIVING WORSHIP

Invite your friends and family and join us this Wednesday, November 23, 7 PM for our Thanksgiving Worship Service. Our Thanksgiving offering will be used to bless missionaries and ministries that we support throughout the year.

The Sr High Youth Group would like to thank everyone for the great support at Tuesday’s Mexican Dinner/Bake-off Fundraiser. We had a fun night and were able to raise $16,932. Your support is amazing! Thank you!

BUNTJER FAMILY ADOPTION FUNDRAISER

The Buntjer family is now “active” in the adoption process and could be matched at anytime.             A fundraiser is planned for Saturday, November 19 at ARC. A freewill donation supper and silent auction will be from 5:30-7. Live auction and raffle begins at 7. If you would like to donate items for the event, contact Erin Jacobsma or bring to the church office.

2023 WOMEN’S CONFERENCE

Save the date! The 2023 Women’s Conference will be held Saturday, April 15 featuring local keynote speaker Jennifer Dukes Lee. Mark your calendars!

UNDY SUNDAYS

Place donations of new socks and undies (unopened packages, all sizes) in the basket by the mailboxes before December 1. Items will be given to SHARE, a Rock County Christmas distribution program. To give financial support to SHARE, please mail your donation to SHARE, PO Box 792, Luverne, MN 56156.

CONGREGATION MEETING

The annual Congregation Meeting will be Monday, November 14 at 7 PM. Two Elders and two Deacons will be elected to serve a three year term from January 2023 through December 2025. Elder Nominees are Grant Binford, Matt Buntjer, Ken Hup, and Jim Ouverson. Deacon Nominees are Dan Hanenburg, Randy Krull, Curt Sandbulte, and Brad Van De Berg. Absentee ballots are available in the church office.

YOUTH GROUP FUNDRAISER

Make plans to attend the Sr High Youth Group Bakeoff Challenge and Mexican Supper on Tuesday, November 8. Supper will be served from 5:30-7 PM. Youth Group members will challenge others from the congregation and community to create a similar item to be judged based on taste and presentation. Those items will be auctioned off beginning at 7:15. Sign up at the table in the Lobby if you are willing to be challenged to a baked item or smoked meat, or if you are interested in being a Judge/Taste Tester! If you have questions, contact Darrel or LaDonna Van Aartsen.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

Pack a Christmas shoebox for a child in need around the world. A variety of shoeboxes are available in the Commons. Boxes can also be “packed” online at www.samaritanspurse.org. Shoeboxes need to be returned November 13.   We will also take an offering that day to purchase agricultural items such as oxen, goats, chicks,   etc. for families in need through Samaritan’s Purse.
