SUMMER APOLOGETICS STUDY

Wednesdays, 6:30-8 PM, May 24-August 23  |  Matthew Nath is hosting a summer study for  adults and young adults on Apologetics, which is knowing what you believe about Christ, why you believe, and learning how to effectively communicate that faith in a way others are able to connect with. The group will read and discuss the book “Telling A Better Story” by Joshua Chatraw, along with real world examples, small group discussions, and practice sessions to be better equipped to share the Truth with a hostile world. Mat Makers

Mat Makers

For the past several months, ARC has been the gathering place for some mission minded ladies from our community who like to visit, keep busy, work with their hands, and fill a need. They have discovered a way to do all those things at one time. Every Monday, five to ten ladies gather in the basement with a collection of plastic bags, then cut them into strips, knot them together to make plarn (plastic yarn) and proceed to hand crochet them together to make 32 x 64 inch sleeping mats for homeless people or others in need. So far six mats have been donated to Center of Hope in Sioux Falls. Finished mats in the future may also be gifted to Union Gospel Mission, the Orphan Grain Train, or other outlets that could use them. Plastic bags can be donated anytime by leaving them in the box in the office hallway. If you have questions about the group or their mission, contact Sharon Bonnema or Karen Bosch.
