Children’s Offering

CHILDREN’S OFFERING

In February, your support raised $56 for the Adonai Home in the Philippines. Thank you for making a difference in their lives! This month, we are raising funds to “Throw a Party” and host a birthday celebration for every child attending SW MN Royal Family Kids Camp. Imagine the joy of kids getting to celebrate their special day with pizza, cupcakes, decorations, a birthday gift, and a Bible. We need nearly $1,000 to make this dream a reality. Join us this March and place your donations in the baskets at the back of the Worship Center and be part of this heartwarming celebration as we show these children they are loved and valued.

Late Night Men’s Study

LATE NIGHT MEN’S STUDY

A new men’s group will meet the last Wednesday of February, March, and April from 8:30—10 PM in the Multipurpose Room. The first meeting will be this Wednesday, February 26. The first 30 minutes will be set aside for fellowship, so please bring your own non-alcoholic beverage, and your favorite snack to share. At 9 PM, those gathered will pray and then take turns reading aloud from the book of Romans and pause to read footnotes, discuss historical context, look up inter-biblical references, and answer questions. We will dismiss at 10 PM but lingering for further discussion, study, and prayer is possible. All men, regardless of age or biblical knowledge, are welcome!

A Slice of Faith

A SLICE OF FAITH

This Sunday, February 23, 4 PM—All are invited to join in an evening of worship, Bible study, and pizza. We will meet the last Sunday of each month, February through April, at the Luverne Pizza Ranch starting at 4:00 PM. After prayer and taking time to share how God is working in our lives, we will focus our discussion around some more complex religious ideas: the meanings of sacrifice and faith, Christian hope vs secular pessimism, and how to share our daily miracles with an unbelieving culture. During our conversation, we will enjoy a delicious buffet featuring a meal even the richest kings of the Bible would never have been able to dream up. Cost for the pizza buffet will be each participant’s own expense.

Ray Vander Laan Study

RAY VANDER LAAN STUDY

Discipleship was formalized with the rise of rabbis in Jewish culture, but the concept really started much earlier than that. This idea of knowing God’s path and faithfully walking in it began when He called Israel out of Egypt, setting them apart as a kingdom of priests to show the rest of the world what He was like. Building on the tools and central themes from the first season, Season 2 of The Study explores the roots of discipleship, examining how God trained and established the nation of Israel in preparation for Jesus’ ministry to come. Join Sawyer Sasker and Corey Van Essen as    they facilitate this adult class on Sundays at 11 AM, March 2—May 11 in the Fellowship Hall. Sign up at the table in the Lobby to reserve a  participant book.
