CHILDREN’S OFFERING

January Children’s offering totaled $533 and will help restart a children’s ministry in Kentucky that was destroyed in the December tornado. February offerings will be for Children’s Inn of Sioux Falls. Thank you for your faithful giving!

PIECE OUT PUZZLE PARTY

Don’t be the missing piece from our jigsaw puzzle party! Come and enjoy spending time with other jigsaw puzzle enthusiasts at “Piece Out” on Thursday, February 10, from 1:30-3:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall. Please invite a friend or neighbor! Refreshments will be provided.

SUMMER CAMP

Registration for summer camp at Inspiration Hills opens February 1. More information available at www.inspirationhills.org. ARC will pay one half of  camper’s registration. Brochures are also available in the display in the lobby.

SOUP FUNDRAISER

Sr RCYF Youth Group will host a Soup Luncheon on Sunday, February 13, serving will begin after the worship service until 12:30 PM. Come and enjoy a variety of soups, breads, and desserts. Freewill donation will support their 2022 youth mission trip to Milwaukee, WI, with a portion of proceeds to go to the local food pantry as part of the Souper Bowl of Caring.

MOVIE MONDAY

Looking to get out this winter? Come and join us for Movie Monday! Connections is hosting a Movie Monday once a month January-March. We will be watching season one of “The Chosen”. “The Chosen” is a story about events in the New Testament and offers a fresh look at the life of Jesus Christ. It is an episodic biblical series based on events surrounding his ministry and follows the backstory of a few well-known characters before they first meet Jesus and interact with Him. Most of the eight episodes focus on up to three different characters and weave back and forth between their stories. It is a highly recommended series and has a 5-star rating. Mark your calendars for Mondays January 31, February 28 and March 28.  The movie will begin promptly at 2 PM and end around 4 PM. Snacks and refreshments will be available. There is a $2 suggested donation.  Please invite your friends, it is open to everyone!

JUST FOR MEN EVENT

The Connections Team is hosting a Just For Men Event on Saturday, January 29 starting at 6 PM. Everyone has a unique father story. Whether positive or painful, it’s always personal and can deeply affect the core of our identity and the direction of our lives. All men 18 and older are invited to attend an impactful and inspiring night with a challenging message from the movie “Show Me the Father”. Registration is $30 per person and includes a ribeye steak supper. You can register by visiting the Connections Center, calling the church office, or going to our Facebook page. Deadline to register is Monday, January 24. This is open to the community, so invite your guy friends and guy family members! You will be blessed!

Join us on Friday, December 24 at 5:00 PM for our Christmas Eve Candlelight Worship Service as we celebrate Immanuel: God With Us!

Thank you to everyone that contributed to Operation Christmas Child with packing and donating shoeboxes. We collected 115 shoeboxes.

Thank you also to everyone that donated to the Samaritan’s Purse Livestock Project. The Rebecca Circle contributed $771.48. The offering in November was $2,226, Children’s offering was $190 and we received $100 for shipping shoeboxes, for a total of $3,287.48.

With that we purchased 5 cattle ($350 each), 13 dairy goats ($70 each), 20 sets of a dozen baby chicks ($14 each), 12 honey bee hives ($18 each), shipping for 9 shoeboxes ($11 each), and 5 “Jesus Loves Me” lambs with the remainder and additional donation.

With both the shoeboxes and livestock project we open doors into foreign countries to share the Gospel while also helping under developed countries by giving families a source of food and income. Thank you for making it all possible! Merry Christmas!
