Laundromat Ministry Needs Good Children's Books

In 2012, the Outreach Committee will continue the Luverne Laundromat Ministry that began in the fall of 2011.
Last November, Marcia Uithoven placed a large basket with a dozen individual take home packets including a children’s bulletin in both English and Spanish, coloring pages, and an activity or treat.  Marcia has now increased this supply to 16 kits weekly, 8 in English and 8 in Spanish.  ARC is acknowledged on the label attached to each kit. 
English and Spanish books to read and crayons to use are also available while at the local Laundromat.  The Early Childhood Family Education volunteered to purchase Spanish books for this project totaling $100.  Much of the other materials are extra ARC curriculum.
If you would like to help with this ministry, place new or good used children’s books, religious or quality non-religious, in the basket in the south coat hall.
